    Karen Dribbble - EMS Application

Personal Information Name: Karen Dribbble Age: 18 Steam 64 UID: 76561198139806134 Timezone: AEST __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Questions about yourself: Describe yourself in 4 words that support your application? Motivated, experienced, hard-working, loyal. How many hours a week can you dedicate to this department? I can be fairly active, it is difficult to put an exact number as it changes from week to week. Why do you think you fit the role of a EMT? (150 words minimum): I feel like I would make a great fit as a medical technician in the Kamden Medical Services as I am extremely, extremely experienced in the role. I have served in many EMS and fire departments on a whole range of islands where I learnt just about every single trick in the book when it came to being a successful EMT, most of which can surely come together to ensure I would personally be a great EMT, fitting right into the role. Furthermore, I really enjoy the role of medic on islands just like Kamden and I'm sure with the members of the department I have seen I will enjoy it even more hanging out with a group of cool people doing what I love. Without people who are dedicated to the role of EMT, any health care system is sure to fail and so I believe my dedication would make me a great fit to ensure there is always medical support available to the people of Kamden. What are your previous experiences with being in a FD/EMS? (If any): I am very experienced in a range of EMS and fire related roles on many many islands. What makes a good EMT in your opinion? (150 words minimum): In my opinion, a good EMT is an EMT who is active and available to provide the sort of medical care that the community of Kamden really deserve, ensuring that as few people pass away as possible due to lack of care; as mentioned above, without this care surely the system is bound to fail. The second crucial factor in making someone a great EMT is good communication skills; being able to communicate effectively over radio (not over speaking or being loud, just getting important messages across) as well as being able to communicate effectively with patients that the EMT comes into contact with making sure they know what is needed of them from those providing medical care to them. Finally, just being an all-round caring person as without that helping hand by their side patients can often become very stressed. These are all extremely important aspects of EMT's care over their patient. Why should you be chosen over someone else? (100 words minimum): I should be chosen over other applicants who may not match the same attributes as me for a number of reasons. First, I hold all of the elements and attitudes I listed above. This means that patients will always be looked after when under my care and treated with the upmost respect, maintaining as much of their dignity as possible. Secondly, my experience in similar roles is a massive help; it means I would already know many of the basic skills required to be comfortable in the role of EMT even before my training is started. This reduces the work load on any field training officer I come into contact with as they have less to teach me. Finally, my availability in the Australian timezone means that I would be able to provide medical care to people during times where there isn't as many medical staff available. Anything that you would like to add?: Negatory! Have you read the rules of this community: YES/NO Yes! Is all the information above true and honest: Yes/NO Yes! Do you understand that your can be denied or terminated from your rank due to inactivity, your previous history or due to your behaviour on and off duty under the same name: YES/NO Yes! Signature: K. Dribbble Today's date: 30/09/19
