How long have you been apart of the ANZUSGaming community?: I've only been apart of the community since October 9th, about 11 days, however I believe if you read my app I think you will see that I'm both dedicated and loyal to the AnzusGaming community.
Have you ever been banned? (for whatever reason): No
What is your motivation for applying for a support position within ANZUS? (75 words minimum): For me there are many motivations that play a role in pushing me into the direction of applying to the support team on ANZUS. The following:
My need to help people: Throughout my time on multiple different role play servers one of which includes ANZUS, I've always had the need to help the people who are a part of each and every one of those communities. There are many reasons as to this, but the main one is that the community is what makes up any server on Arma 3, especially a role play one, and for the server to be able to keep its community alive, active, and loyal it’ll need people who are there that can help them with any problem that they may need to be fixed. Because without people that are there to be able to help others, then the community will fall apart into shambles without an active and loyal player base. And I’ve seen firsthand what has happened when there are not enough people helping, and because of that the server was shutdown and the 5 years that it was open for was closed in an instant because they ran out of helpers. This is something that I hope will never happen to ANZUS, so I will always be here, whether support or not, trying to help anyone I can to the best of my ability, because I love this community and would rather it not fall because it has run out of people willing to help.
Wanting to give back to the community: Even though I’ve only been with the ANZUS community for just over 10 days now, I’ve already met dozens of new people and some of them I believe I can even call friends. And all of this has given me an appreciation for both the community of ANZUS and the ANZUS server itself because of its willingness to open up to me and introduced me to new and amazing people. I feel as though I am and will be in debt to both for the rest of my life for offering me unimaginable and fun experiences. Though to begin repaying this debt and to give back to the community I feel as though a good start would be to join the Support team so that I can help people like this community has helped me. To me this is one of the most important motivations I have to apply for a support position on ANZUS and although it sounds cringey, it is all true and I am very grateful to this server and its community. And all I want to be able to do is give back to the community and the server.
Meet new people: As I’ve said under the previous motivation is that on my time on ANZUS I’ve formed bonds with many people on the community of ANZUS, some bonds that I believe I can even call friendships. And this is one of the motivations I have. Because if I was to be accepted into the Support team on ANZUS it would open me up to a whole new group of people that I can hang out with and possibly even play with. Not only that but it would allow me to meet with other people who aren’t within the support team, which to me is very important as the more friends you have, the better your life will be.
What skills can you bring to the team? (50 words minimum): To me I believe that for a person to be a valuable and helpful member of the support they need to possess certain skills/traits, and these skills/traits are things that I believe I can bring to the support team:
Dedication: For someone to be a valuable member of the Support team they will need to have dedication and be dedicated to the server, it’s community, and the support team. Because if someone who isn’t dedicated to helping out the community and the server becomes a support member then they will slack on their duties and slack on the effort they put into helping people. And if member of Support stop caring about helping the people then it will in turn make both the support team and the wondrous server of ANZUS look bad. Also, if it was to be revealed that the staff team isn’t dedicated and doesn’t care then it’ll lead to the population of the server decreasing as no one wants to be apart of a server in which the staff team doesn’t care, and no new people would want to join a server where they’ll be unable to get help. I believe that I have the dedication to be a valuable member to the support team and that no matter what happens I’ll stay dedicated and continue pushing on and helping people.
Loyalty: Loyalty is required when apart of any group within ANZUS, but most importantly it is required within the staff team. Because if someone was to not be loyal to the ANZUS staff team then it’ll open them up to corruption or bias which will ruin the play for others on the server simply because someone who wasn’t loyal was accepted into the staff team. I think that I would be able to bring this skill to the team and that I’d be loyal without fault and would not have my loyalties strayed for anyone or anything.
Patience: Sometimes support members have to deal with people who may not have as in depth knowledge about technical issues or about the server as they may have. So having patience is key when helping with people who don’t understand what you are helping them with, and you will need to stay patient so that you can guide them and help them into understanding whatever it is they are in need of assistance. If a support member is not patient it can lead to the support member being aggravated with the person they are helping, which in turn can lead to the member of the community becoming embarrassed for something they should not need to be embarrassed about. This is one skill that I know I can bring to the staff team as my previous experience as Support on A3PL has put me through many challenging scenarios, but throughout each one I stayed patient, and by the end I was able to help the member with whatever they needed.
