    Jordan Carter - USCG Application

Name (In Role play) Jordan Carter Steam 64 ID: 76561198110359685 Timezone: EST Age: 18 Have you played on the server as a civilian? (Must be yes otherwise you will be denied) Yes Do you have any Law Enforcement Experience? Yes on multiple islands (Not IRL). Should you be accepted into the US Coast Guard, what standards and values would you bring and standby here? (Min. 100 Words) I feel that above all other values, I will bring my hardworking attitude to the US Coast Guard. In my eyes, through every new job and experience hard work is what is needed to improve. If I was given the opportunity for this position, I would put fourth my best effort to make sure I retain all the skills and traits I need to be a successful guardsmen. I will never become complacent, and I will always make sure I am learning something everyday. On top of this, I am also respectful and maintain integrity for everything I do. Without respect, there would be no order in organized departments such as this one. Listening to my higher ups, and making sure to not go against their wishes is something I always strive to do. As for integrity, I am always determined to be honest and think with good morals in every decision I make. I will never try to lie, or manipulate my way through everything. All of what I do is done with respect, and the trait of integrity. Why do you believe honesty, loyalty and integrity are our founding principles? I went over some of this above, but these three principles form the ideal member of the guard. As for honesty, it is important to maintain this throughout ones service. Admitting your mistakes and reporting situations as they happened, rather than lying, will not only look good on you but it will also reflect a department as a whole. Guardsmen who are honest will end up better people and members in the end, as they will have to improve upon their failures rather than lying their way out of it. If the department lacked loyalty, eventually there would be no Coast Guard. All members have to be loyal to the team in order to protect the Coast Lines and those on it. A lack of loyalty would mean that criminals and smugglers would be able to enter the island freely, as members without loyalty would either not care or allow it to happen. These are both issues that cannot be ignored and all Guardsmen have to be loyal their cause to prevent it. All members must have a strong moral principles, and this is summed up with integrity. Having integrity makes the public look at the Guardsmen in a good light. Along with this, a Guardsmen that has a good moral compass will be able to preform his job in line with the departments purpose. What do you believe makes a good Guardsman? I believe I make a good Guardsman because, for starters, I am in line with the main moral principles outline in the application. As a Guardsman, I would follow these principles every time I went on duty. I also have a great deal of experience within Law enforcement (With Arma 3). Throughout this I have learned the importance of good radio communication, teamwork, and I know how to hold my own in a stressful situation. I think I am justified in assuming this job will place me in stressful situations. My experience will allow me to handle them with well thought out action. With this in mind, I follow the moral principles, and have experience in a similar line of work. Anything else you would like to add? *I added that I have no experience IRL with this stuff because I saw you guys had a military application for IRL experience* References (Not Mandatory): Dominick Snag By signing below, you swear to uphold the law and constitution, to be loyal to your fellow Guardsman, to endeavour to be proactive and relentless in seeking peace and justice, to always be honest, to always be loyal, and to show respect where respect is due. Carter, Jordan
