Describe yourself in 4 words that support your application? persevering, dependable, honest, determined
How many hours a week can you dedicate to this department?
Why do you think you fit the role of a EMT? (150 words minimum):
I think I fit the role of an EMT as I love to help others and aspire to one day become a medically licensed practitioner. At its core, medical personnel are the backbone to society. Without medicine, diseases would still be rampant and life expectancy would be greatly reduced. However, thanks to medicine, society is able to remain intact and balanced, as all things should be. Because of this, I feel like its my calling to help others in their greatest time of need and to give back to the community. I'm also a great communicator, and I love to RP, which fits the EMT role as when playing as an EMT, most of your interaction is communicating with other people compared to just being a plain civilian that mostly keeps to themselves; either grinding away LSD or driving around trying to rob people. In conclusion, I fit the role of EMT as I aspire to be a doctor, love to help others, and love role play.
What are your previous experiences with being in a FD/EMS? (If any):
I was a medic on Olympus Altis Life
What makes a good EMT in your opinion? (150 words minimum):
In my opinion, a good EMT is one that pulls through tough situations while still maintaining a professional attitude as well as one who is able to stay calm and collected no matter what. For example, there might be a Federal Reserve robbery with lots of police and gang members currently incapacitated. Now any EMT could just go straight in and start reviving, while good EMT's will take the time to set up a 'FOB' with ambulances as well as communicate with parties to gain a sense of their surroundings and maintain a realistic, professional attitude that is broadcast to the people around them. Being a good EMT also involves a sense of speed and communication. Good EMT's must be able to communicate with their peers and superiors as well as with third parties such as police or civilians. A sense of speed is also required of a good EMT as time is of the essence. Incapacitated people only have a few minutes of blood left in them and going 20 mph or 60 mph could make the difference between saving their live or allowing them to parish.
Why should you be chosen over someone else? (100 words minimum):
I should be chosen over someone else as I view myself as an effective communicator and team player as well as a general well rounded individual. For example, I love role play and upon every situation I encounter, I would make it my utmost goal to maintain an enriched experience for everyone involved. I am also a team player and always communicate with both my peers and superiors to ensure that stability and reliability can be expected from my work. I am also well rounded in Arma and have over 1000 hours, so whether it be driving or piloting, I can be dependable in arriving on time and in one piece.
